Ensign 477 Parts
Ensign 477, aka Knotalot was fatally damaged last fall in gale force winds on Halloween night. She was restored to sailing, and competive condition about 12 years ago, and won her share of class and PHRF races. Apparently, winning was in her blood - Her Geneology courtesy John Cutler. I am sad to have to be the one to put her down, but I do so with great respect and pride. I know little about her career before me, but in the last 12 years she has brought me, my wife, and many friends great joy. There are many parts of her that other ensign owners may need or want, and that is why I have put together this website. There is a page with all the major parts and my asking price, along with notes about each. Email me with any questions at ksimp@ksimp.org

Bye Bye, KnotalotPeople keep asking what happened: The one night of the year that she was on a dock, about to be hauled out the next day, we had the highest winds of the year (gale force) and she kept banging her SB side agains the dock until the entire SB side was separated from the deck. Just not worth it to fix it up, especially when there are so many other Ensigns for sale. I bought her for $1000, I think I got my moneys worth, but I also spent a lot of time and effort fixing her up. She was not looking great when I bought her.
Here is a site I put up covering her restoration 12 years ago: http://pmisk.org/ensign/
