Norman E. Libby moved to Wolfeboro in 1913 and, with Harry C. McFadden, purchased Tobey's Drug Store. He was the sole owner in 1930. The name, McFadden and Libby's Drugstore, was used into the 1950's. The store was located in the Peavey Block, now the Avery Block. The photo was taken in 1903. The soda fountain and cigar stand were popular. On the wall, various drugs and compounds were used to make up prescriptions. To the right, dimly visible, is a case of books, part of the drugstore's rental library.
