The Brookline (not Brooklyn) was a small open-deck steamer with a canopy top based in South Wolfeboro and was frequently used for excursions from about 1898, with 15 to 20 passengers. Business included Camp Kehonka girls, fishing parties and odd jobs such as towing rafts of logs to Clow's Sawmill. The sign above the canopy says "Steamer to Let". By 1918, the power system had been convered to gasoline.
