Alonzo F. Avery, Ice Dealer, on his route delivering blocks of ice for iceboxes, c. 1900. His harvesting area is believed to have been on the Avery Shore of Crescent Lake. This southwest corner of the Lake is accessed by Crescent Lake Ave. and was owned for many years by members of the extended Avery family.
