South Main St., early 1900's, shows the large Peavey Block (now Avery Block), then the 1-story Goodwin Block (which replaced the original 3-story building that burned down in 1899). A railroad engine is crossing the street, leaving the dockside railroad depot. A sign on the second tree from the left reads "Hobbs-Is-Inn", where the photo was taken. This is now the site of the Post Office.
