First Congregational Church group lawn party, c. 1880's, at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Theodore C. Jerome, on South Main Street. Rev. Jerome was the Church Pastor for a year, until he and three of his children drowned in Lake Winnipesaukee on June 26, 1886. In 1907, the Jerome house became the first Huggins Hospital. The site is in the woods between the Kingswood High School and the 18th hole of the golf course; there is a marker on a stone at the site. Larger version of seventh photo in this group.
