Freewill Baptist Church, oldest Church in Wolfeboro, built 1840 on Center Street in Mill Village (now called Wolfeboro Falls). Photo taken 1990. The Baptist presence in Wolfeboro began in 1790 when Rev. Isaac Townsend began preaching and was formalized in 1792 at the same time as the Town Church was established.
