Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive Fire and Town Services Goodwin Block Fire, 1899

Photo taken from North Main Street, just across the downtown bridge. With the flames and ashes spreading to the wharves and several buildings behind the Goodwin Block, it is surprising that the adjacent Peavey Block (now known as the Avery Block) was saved.
