Harry Jones camp on Sewall Point. This was the first camp there, built in 1895. The camp was named "Monhegan Lodge" and "Camp Comfort" at various times. Photo taken August 1895. The second man from the left is Judge William J. Britton. The camp was known for holding organized parties, with sporting and social events. The group was called the Mino Club, mostly young men and women. In today's vernacular, this would be called a gathering of the rich and famous. Among the members at this time were Misses E. B. Edgerly, M. M. Johnson, S. M. Whitton, Z. Furber, E. C. Whitton, and C. L. Rendall. Men were E. Goodwin, H. B. Furber, William J. Britton, P. S. Davis, R. S. Parker, H. B. Peavey, and G. R. Britton. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jones of Roxbury, Mass., were chaperones.
