Downtown looking toward North Main St. from across the street of the present Post Office. Building on the right is better known as the Bank Building. Next buildings up the road are now Black's Paper Store, then the Wool Corner, with the cupola of the Durgin Block above it. The building known as the Wool Corner displays the original Greek Revival style, with two stories of pillars. These were replaced in an extensive remodel in 1925 when the front was redesigned. Taken Feb. 7, 1916.
