View from area of Glendon St. looking toward bridge and North Main St., c. 1908. On the left, stores include Everett S. Albee, jeweler and optician , then the large Peavey Block, now Avery Block. Bank Building on the right has been redesigned to add arched windows. Durgin Block cupola rises above the Wool Corner building, which displays the original c. 1866 Greek Revival style, with two stories of pillars. Those were removed in an extensive remodel in 1925 when the front was extended.
