The Ann Inn, c. 1928, stands in the center of downtown Wolfeboro, on the site which is now Cate and Town Parks. The large building at the left was a residence built in 1847 and became Horn's on the Lake in 1868. The next two buildings were added in 1872. The name changed to Belvue House in the 1880's. The third addition next to the lake was added in 1892, when the name changed to the Lake Shore House (or Inn). The name changed to the Ann Inn in 1921. The hotel was razed in 1940, and a gas station was built there.
