Built as the Glendon House in 1872, this impressive 4-story hotel with a mansard roof was in the center of downtown. Later, it was the Wolfeboro Hotel, New Wolfeboro Hotel, Hobbs-Is-Inn and Hotel Elmwood. It was razed in 1935 to build the present Wolfeboro Post Office. Photo was taken August 23, 1906, when it was Hobbs-Is-Inn, owned by Frank P. Hobbs.
