Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive Houses North Main St Houses

This is the Gorham B. Humphrey homestead on the northwest side of North Main St., c. 1900. The view is looking at Winter Harbor. The house is a large turreted mansion. Gray Rock was a resort for sportsmen, 1896-1920's. The large barn burned down on March 8, 1932. The site became the Piping Rock Resort in 1955.
