Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive Houses North Main St Houses

The Durgin Block on North Main St. was built c. 1876 as an elegant residence for Stephen Durgin, a wealthy businessman from New York City. This photo is the original building, before parts of the full basement were converted to commercial use. The prominent cupola was removed about 1930.
