Reenactment of classroom activity in the Pleasant Valley School at the Clark Museum Complex on South Main St. Mrs. Natalie Erickson and the students are in period clothing, using slates and old textbooks. Mrs. Erickson is a teacher at the Carpenter School. The students are: boys, Stephen Brooks (dark hair) and Hollis Brodrick; girls, L-R, Valerie Young and Betsey Brodrick. Taken in 1964 as part of Education Week, which included the Open House of the new Kingswood Regional High School. The Granite State News published a 6-installment essay written by teacher Ethel Rachel Horne on the local schools and a 16-page souvenir issue describing the new school district.
