Old Home Day, August 20, 1901. Kingswood Club Arch on South Main St., looking northwest to the center of town. This group (not to be confused with the Golf Club) was a group formed in Mass. in Feb. 1901, dedicated to improving local facilities, including roads, train schedules and dock facilities. The huge temporary Arch spanned South Main St. at Glendon St. and had a 3 x 3 foot base, was 16 feet wide, 24 feet high and illuminated with 80 electric lights.
