Fourth of July, 1954. The car is towing the calliope of the Allen "A" Resort, a large complex on Route 28. Mr. and Mrs Bean are in the cowboy hats. They probably ran the resort's Dude Ranch operation. They lived in the former Catholic Church building on Sewall Road.
