Mrs. Ella Lord Gilbert on her 80th birthday, Nov. 17, 1958. She founded the Amy Cheney Beach Club, known today as the Friends of Music. This group brought many noted performers to town over many years. Mrs. Gilbert gave music lessons at her Pleasant St. home known as Harmony Cottage.
