This painting by noted artist Peter Helck, "Climb to the Clouds", is of the second automobile race up Mt. Washington, July 18, 1905. William A. Hilliard of Boston set a record 20 minutes, 58 & 2/5ths seconds, in a 60hp Napier Gordon Bennett racer. Freelan O. Stanley was second in a 15hp Stanley at 22 minutes, 58 & 3/5ths seconds.
