The Tydol Gas Station, in the late 1930's, was located where the Irving Gas Station is today. Note the Bay in the left background. This is the original Back Bay, which was later filled in and is now Foss Field. Also note the large Laundromat Building, which is some distance in the background on Grove St., and the lack of other commercial buildings compared to taday's view.
