The Durgin Block on North Main St. with Gould's Dime Store on the ground floor corner, Jesse and Dorothy Gould opened there in 1937 and used the name until 1967. This photo is c. 1940's. Marie's Beauty Shop is the store on the left. Goodwin & Doe, Contractors & Builders, have an office on the second floor. On the left is the tall Sheridan House, considered an eyesore in its later years and torn down in 1941. That site is now the Wolfeboro Marketplace.
