Gordon Durgin with Hose Company No. 2 at the Factory St. (now Lehner St.) Fire Station. Shoe factory is in the background. Built in 1922 as the Fire Precinct became centralized, this station was used until 1974 when the new Public Safety Building was constructed. Converted to a Community Center, the building still stands with the original bell tower.
