Carroll No. 2 Hand Fire Engine, built in the 1940's, restored in the 1980's by the Wolfeboro Historical Society and now on permanent display in the Firehouse building at the Clark Museum Complex. This scene is at a Muster in Newburyport, Mass., in 1983. The men, L-R, are Arthur Brunt, Richard Goldthwaite, Frank DeRamer, Allyn Perkins and Charles Sturdevant. The Carroll No. 2 Fire Company was established in 1866 and located near Pickering Corner, at the site on Center St. recently occupied by Citizen's Bank.
