Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive Fire and Town Services Fire Department

This photo, taken April 12, 1958, shows the damage to the Goodwin Block on Jan. 1, 1958 (this in not the same location as the massive 1899 fire - this location is behind the Bank Block between Railroad Ave. and Central Ave.). The fire started in the Beef'n Bun Restaurant. The structure was razed later that year. The horse and buggy team belongs to Grover Moody from the Highlands (northwest corner of Wolfeboro).
