Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive General Areas Forest Road Area

Carry Beach, C. 1900. At this time, Forest Road ran right along the waterfront. The ruts on the road are clear on the right side of the photo, entering the area from the north at the top and passing south to Wolfeboro Neck at the bottom. The road was finally relocated away from the beach in 1966!
