Walter F. Pickering's blacksmith shop, c. 1900. He was first noted as a blacksmith in 1885, opened his own shop in 1889, leasing a building on Factory St. when he bought Frank L. Sanborn's stock and equipment. In 1899, he relocated to this building in Wolfeboro Falls, near the railroad station, and operated there at least into the 1910's, perhaps longer. (Note - this is not the blacksmith shop that led to the present Blacksmith Printing building.)
