View from Factory St. (now Lehner St.) looking across Front & Back Bay (as they were called then), c. 1900. The large shoe factory is on the left. Notice the railroad causeway separating the two parts the the Bay. The part on the right is the old Back Bay, which was fairly shallow, filled in and reclaimed in 1975, and is now Foss Field.
