This photo is taken from the bridge area looking at South Main St., C. 1897. On the left is tha building best known as the Wool Corner. On the right, the elegant mansard-roofed building is the original Goodwin Block, which burned down completely in 1899. The next building behind it is the Peavey Block, which was saved in the fire. That building still stands, and is now known as the Avery Block.
