Busy days at the town docks, May 29, 1916. Peavey Block (now Avery Block) is on the right. Frank Hobbs owned the docks behind the Peavey Block and allowed public use, but cautioned that, in busy times, use should be restricted to short errands or passenger drop off or pick up. Note how close the nearest docks are to the buildings. This area wasn't filled in until the early 1940's.
