Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive Hotels and Resorts

Although the caption says Glen Cottage, this photo is believed to date to c. 1927. when Lester Wiggin purchased it, did some remodeling, and renamed it the Wolfeboro Tavern. The original sign on the front porch is gone, the first floor of the Annex has been made into rooms, and some shutters have been added. Compare this with the previous photo. The name was used until 1947, when it was changed to the Tavern Inn.
