The Pavilion Hotel at Pickering Corner was built in 1849, became the Kingswood Inn in 1890, and was sold and removed in 1899. This photo of the grounds was taken in the late 1890's, when it was the Kingswood Inn. The boathouse, now part of Brewster, is on the right. The Mt. Washington steamship is nearing the town docks. The hotel was the largest one ever built in Wolfeboro, with an advertised capacity of 300 guests. The site is now Brewster Soccer Field.
