Wolfeboro Historical Society Photograph Archive Hotels and Resorts

The Pavilion Hotel at Pickering Corner was built in 1849, became the Kingswood Inn in 1890. It was sold at auction on April 3, 1899, for $275. This photo, shortly afterward, shows the demolition in progress. Some parts were salvaged carefully and used elsewhere. The site is now Brewster Soccer Field.
