View from the Durgin Block looking south. On the right is the one-story building which replaced the former Goodwin Block building which burned in 1899. The Peavey Block is adjacent to it, and above the Peavey Block is the 100' long Samuel Avery Barn. On the left is the Wool Corner, the Bank Building and Town Hall. The buildings behind the Bank Building had separate names. The mansard-roofed building on the upper left was the Glendon House, later Hotel Elmwood, then Hobbs-Is-Inn, razed in 1935 and the site became the Post Office. C. 1900.
