View from Town Hall clock tower looking west, c. 1900. The view is high enough that Union St. doesn't show. The two houses in the foreground were later removed and that area is now the supermarket & drugstore. The mansard-roofed building on the right is the Glendon House, later Hotel Elmwood, then Hobbs-Is-Inn, now the Post Office. The Bank Building is in the center. South Main St. comes in on the left, continues as North Main St., angling past the First Christian Church (just past the 4 identical houses on the Libby St. hill) and going to the extreme right.
